Showing up to a new church can be intimidating and confusing, especially if you don’t know anyone or what to expect.  Sometimes church can seem like a closed society, and unless you know the unwritten rules you will feel awkward about showing up.  

Dress 

At Eight Mile Rock it is a privilege to have you come and worship with us.  We want to take all the fear and uncertainty out of attending church.  We want you to feel comfortable when you visit us.  We’re a loving, accepting church full of people just like you, with a welcoming and loving mix of people.  No need to dress up or dress down.  More important than the clothes is the heart.  And only God knows your heart.

Parking 

You can park anywhere you like in the main parking lot.  The main entrance is on the west side of the church where you will find two open doors leading to a small foyer.  Once inside the foyer you will be greeted by warm and caring people, just like yourself.  If you need assistance, they can direct you to the classes, sanctuary or restrooms.

Worship 

We have Bible classes for all ages from infants to adults.  We also have an amazing KIDZ ROCK ministry for children ages 3 to 14 that goes from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.  Just ask one of the greeters in the main foyer and they will help you find the right class or the KIDZ ROCK program.

Because people are diverse, so too is our congregation.  We have all age groups represented and  try to make Eight Mile Rock Church a safe place for worship and fellowship for all people and all ages.

Fellowship 

We hope your faith will be strengthened and your interest in God’s Word will grow as a result of your time with us.  Our ministry focus is simple.  We aim to know God, grow spiritually, and share His love with others.  We do this through relatable, practical, Bible-based messages, powerful music, relevant worship for every age, ministry to children and opportunities to show God's love in significant ways to our community.

Eight Mile Rock is a Seventh-day Adventist congregation but welcomes everyone.  Whether you are a lifelong Adventist or just brand new to Christianity, or if you are an atheist or spiritual seeker, it makes no difference.  Jesus welcomed all people into His presence and we do the same.
